Another Joyous Occasion for Riverside Council No.212

Donation to the Surrey Craft 2019 Festival in aid of the R.M.B.I. acknowledged by the Provincial Grand Master R.W. Bro. Eric Stuart-Bamford

The February Meeting of the Council held at the Guildford Masonic Centre was attended by 20 members and visitors - which included W Bro Frank Powell, Deputy District Grand Prefect of Surrey.

On the Agenda was the Degree of Grand High Priest which was conferred on 3 brethren of the Council - Mark Guzam, Mike Fisher and John Sivill, plus Barrie Selway from Farnham Council. The Presiding Officer for the degree working was V W Bro Eric Trodd, PGReg who was in excellent form and was most impressive in carrying out the duties of conferring the degree. All those attending who witnessed the ceremony were full of admiration for the manner in which V W Bro Eric carried out the work.

The next item on the Agenda was the Installation of Bro Michael Mello as Worshipful Master, this was conducted by W Bro John French in a most sincere manner. W Bro Mick Mello then appointed and invested his Officers for the year.

A Charitable Donation of £250 to The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham was approved by the members.

A total of 18 brethren later enjoyed an excellent Festive Board where the usual Masonic Toasts were honoured.

The next meeting of the Council will be on Tuesday, 6th September at Guildford to which there will be an Official Visit by the District Grand Prefect, when we hope to have at least two candidates for Admission into the Order.
