A Busy Morning for Southern Cross Council

At the April meeting of the Southern Cross Council No XIII, the District Grand Prefect, RW.Bro. Ray Hussey proposed that RW.Bro. Clive Manuel, Deputy Grand Master, be invited to accept honorary membership of the Council. This was carried with acclaim.

A Lodge of St Lawrence was then adjourned and a Council of Red Cross of Babylon was opened. Bro. Chris Eley and 3 Brethren from the District of Sussex were then Constituted and Created as Knights of the Red Cross of Babylon.

Among many guests present was the District Grand Prefect of Sussex, RW.Bro. Roger Richardson. Bro. David Willmott was then elected as the Worshipful Master for the ensuing year.

To round off a most enjoyable morning the Brethren of Southern Cross Council and their guests sat down to a splendid lunch at the Surbiton Masonic Hall.
